Who we are

MycroPC Ltd (“MycroPC”, “we”, “us”) builds custom Micro ATX PCs and ships them worldwide from London, UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use mycropc.com or place an order, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, MycroPC Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, email us at mycropcuk@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect the data we need to run the shop and fulfil your order:

  • Contact and account details — name, email address, and (if you create an account) your login credentials, managed by our storefront provider.
  • Order and delivery details — shipping address, the items you bought, and your order history.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Communications — the contents of emails, quote requests, and support messages you send us.
  • Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, and how you navigate the site, collected through cookies and analytics.
03

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • Process, build, and ship your order, and keep you updated on its status.
  • Respond to quote requests, warranty claims, and support enquiries.
  • Take payment and prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • Send order confirmations and, where you have opted in, occasional product updates.
  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • Meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records.
05

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the shop and deliver your order:

  • Our e-commerce and hosting provider, which powers the storefront, accounts, and order management.
  • Payment processors, who handle your card or PayPal transaction securely.
  • Shipping carriers (such as Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, DHL, and FedEx) to deliver your build.
  • Email and analytics providers that help us communicate with you and measure site performance.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent.

06

How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for at least six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Once data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

07

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, email mycropcuk@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

08

Keeping your data secure

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and rely on reputable providers with their own security controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
